Him and our other two lads up top play almost continually and to be honest look leggy on occasion. Add the back up and a sometimes sterile midfield and there you go.

It's been the same the past two years. Everyone looks fucked going into the last quarter of the season. OK we have not been going all out like previous years but the front three play nearly every week and we have the square route of fuck all in the way of back ups. 

 

We need at least one top level forward in the summer and that's if Wilson and Brewster are ready to go and contribute

A poacher needs to be fed. You dont do that, the poacher will most likely contribute very little. To feed a poacher, we need more creativity in the team. Coutinho replacement is desperately needed especially since Ox is still out, Keita hasn't showed up and Mane with Bobby haven't exactly tearing it like last season.

He was more than a poacher last season though. Some of his goals saw him going round, over, under and fucking straight through people. I’m not trying to make an escapegoat of him but for a few games now it’s felt like as soon as he gets the ball the move breaks down.

I have always felt, even when at his absolute best last season, that he was more of a poacher than a 10 for example. You are right that he sat defenders down plenty of times last season but most of that happened when he had the ball in or around the box. That's when he is most lively, at his best he is exceptionally good inside the box with his close control, balance and quick thinking. He's no Messi though. Games like Roma at Anfield last season, where he totally dominated, going past players all over the pitch and creating chances for himself and the team were rare. 

 

Currently the whole team is not at their best, certainly lacking creativity and this totally limits Salah's effectiveness. He needs the team to be firing for him to start firing again.

Yeah, but those goals were the exception and not the norm. He's improved immensely as a player, but at his core, he's always been a penalty box player or counter attacker that thrives in space. Being out on the wing with a full back directly marking him or in tight spaces, he's always been iffy. We need to put him in better positions to succeed.

Sometimes its down to the manager and the position he is told to do. Against united I felt he should have been shifted away from the right wing as he wasnt getting much joy up against Shaw

Well he got several chances tody and didn’t take them. Piss poor for a while now.

Most of the time this season, I've felt his struggles have been due to not putting him in good positions to succeed. Today, though he was just flat out fucking shite. He just has no right to miss those two big chances today. It killed us.
