I think Eriksen is incredibly overated!

Hopefully Arsene drops Walcott as soon as Gervino is fit, hastening his exit to us! If we are looking at players who have a good fit with Suarez then I wouldn't mind a little bid for Emanuelson from Milan.

Agree ,seen him play a fair few times and never been impressed by him , he really doesnt look that special a player at all , Gotze on the other hand ....

Suso will be our man for that position anyway.

read an article by torres, where he said he has never been the same since he has not been getting the service provided by stevie baby, he said his best form was created by stevie baby, he is dropping out of favour with chelsea, see where i'm leading with this,oh please let it happen in Jan. suarez, torres, together, the mind boggles.

There's a young fella at west ham who could be what we're missing- big centre forward who likes to attack defences, with or without the ball. For the right price, and given our current situation, he could be worth a punt.

Yeah he's got a great goal return at West Ham, those zero goals he's scored in a team that is virtually made for him would have helped us out loads.

I'm not sure Carlton Cole is all that to be honest

Great, he'll bring the goals we need.

I'd like us to buy Celtic's Wanyama (and of course, an attacker. Or two).

I thought this earlier. I've been banging on about us getting a powerful midfielder for ages instead we keep buying players who's idea of a good pass is passing it backwards.

Yeah. You need a tough, powerful, imposing midfielder. If he can play a bit too - unlike Sissoko - all the better.

And I tire of all this "who cares how fast/ big he is" when talking about Sahin and Alen and using Alonso as a comparison.

Xabi Alonso could tackle like a demon, was tough as fuck, positionally a genius and could spray a pass 40 yards forwards as well as 5 yards sideways.

Which is why he was, and is, miles better than either Sahin or Allen.

But Alonso did always have an actual holding midfielder next to him, and still does.

I don't blame Sahin for not being brilliant defensively, Alonso isn't. Its more having almost no impact offensively, or being able to control the game. Which obviously Alonso is brilliant at.

Can we recall...Jay Spearing?

After that Barca game I'd imagine his price has rocketed and the number of teams interested in him has increased. With a striker a priority and not having large amounts to spend the likely hood of us going to get him is quite slim. I would like him here though, he will probably end up fucking off to one of the Italian teams in the Champions League.
