Juventus' new manager came in and didn't want Aquilani, whereas the board wanted him... but for less money than agreed upon. Why? He has poor fitness levels and Conte wanted to play a 'more intensive' playing style.

How many of his assists were actually completed passes and not shots that were going wide deflected in (Wolves and Man City) or him getting fouled and us scoring from the subsequent free kick (Man Utd).

 

The problem I have with Adam, and I'm sure many other people's problem with him, is his lack of influence and end product in open play. He'll give away numerous free kicks in awful areas because he's been caught in the wrong position and is forced to bring his opponent down AND when he's in the attacking third he almost always makes the wrong decisions in possession. How many times have we seen the typical scenario this season of Adam running through on goal with options either side of him and he holds onto the ball too long or goes himself and tries to score an optimistic effort and fails?
