I used to proper hate him when I was younger, it's only when I get older, and moreover after he died that I read up on him, and he was a decent bloke. Yeah he loved his city the most, but he loved the North West as a whole. His contribution to the music industry can never be dismissed.

I always felt he was putting on a bit of an act myself. He seemed to be popular among the people he worked with in the music industry anyhow.

I think this is spot on , he never took himself too seriously but a lot of other people did. So It Goes, Factory Records and The Hacienda isn't a bad back story amongst a lot of other stuff , and died married to an ex Miss UK

If they want to demonstrate that Lampard is going to be a good manager, they should emphasise that he had the chance to learn from the best when he was winning those trophies as a player.

For example, the bloke who managed Chelsea to the Europa League win. He was decent.

Honestly thought lampard had won more than 3 titles the way he boasted "won a league have you" to klopp who it turns out has won the same amount as Lampard without a Russian oligarch buying them.

Winning with underdogs / without financial doping. Try it, Frank Lardarse.

The one on the left is Alex Young I think , a forward from the 60's who I believe was even rated by our own fans ( certainly by my dad anyway ). My wife is actually named after him as her dad was convinced he was due a lad after 3 girls so he tweaked Alexander to Alexandra once he was frustrated again. Unfortunately she is no golden vision any more ( one for the oldies ).

Doesn’t make sense, Rog. It’s definitely Van de Beek. If they had past players on there then there’d be more, wouldn’t there? Dixie Dean, etc.

Some of the current players must be delighted to be excluded for players who haven’t kicked a ball in anger yet, especially one who had red * gasp * in his hair.

Must admit I didn't really look at the others , I saw the classic Everton v neck shirt from the 60's and the look of him but it might just be the cut of the drawing around his neck.

Am I missing sonething though , why would you put guys who have never played for you on a mural . Is it a red on a wind-up do we think ?
