Breaking his cheekbone and finishing the game only adds to his legend.

I hope he gets on at a packed Anfield, ideally on a European night (not just the last minute). Obviously unlikely unless we have a huge first leg lead or injury crisis.

Barca couldn't afford him mate.

We do a very good injury crisis, which is why we should be hanging onto him.

A steal at that price.

Not when we stick a 50% sell on clause on.

Now my maths is shite, but if we sell him to Palace say for 15m and then within in a year the world is awoken to his specialness then the big dogs come out. They sell him to Real, or whatever, then we get half of the billion pound transfer fee.

So we make 515m off his sale?

It'd hurt to see him go, but that seems like a realistic expectation.

Phillips was worth around £1m a year ago, maybe not even that.

If someone offer anything near £15m we should take the money and run.

He was worth much more than that a year ago. But we're not talking about a year ago: we're talking about January 2022. He's worth a lot more than £15m now.

We all love Nat, but I think getting those 30m figures and things like that are going to be tough, because the lad is 24 and still hasn't played 50 senior games at any level yet. I think that makes it interesting in terms of selling him - how could we replace him with the 10 or 15m we would get? I'd want to keep him at that price. However, I think bottom line is I suspect from reading some of klopp's words we know he wants to play and we won't stop him, we just needed to make sure all our injured centre backs came back fit and remained so. There's probably a number we agreed to let him go in the summer when he signed the new deal, even if it's not written into his contract.

At most of the clubs in the bottom half of the Premier League he'd be their best centre back. I think he's probably worth £25m/£30m in that context.

He's worth more than that if you and on his attitude and quality. Not often you come across a player like that who is brave and a solid defender. I'd have him in line before gomez. Probably wouldn't even get 10 million for gomez.

And Rashford is worth more than Foden and TAA?

That Turkish centreback at Leicester being worth the same as Jota?

The website is a heap of fucking shite.

To be fair I think it's maintained by a bunch of volunteers all over the place. I don't think the aim is to be an accurate reflection, it's just what some fans might think he's worth and it might just be one person's opinion. It certainly shouldn't be used to value players (although I believe some clubs do actually use it!)
