Liverpool kits should be as follows for me.

Home: all red with white or yellow neck & arm piping.

Away: White shirt, red piping round arm and neck. Black shorts, white socks

Third. All yellow.

Simple this kit designing malarkey. Why can’t Nike get it right?!

Shite kit though. One of the worst home shirts we've ever had.

The one just before it was great though one of our best and one just before that too.

The white away is what a LFC away kit should look like...

The bad adidas came with the modern day stuff...although the 'equipment' stuff was bad.

If this thing posted today is real it will IMO be our worst home kit in history - its an absolute abomination.

Yeah, the original kits we got from 85 were good. Then when that snowmkit came out it all went to shit. Although that 1st kit to the 2nd was made of the same material with the liverbirds through it, which I always felt was a crap thing to do.

All the Adidas kits from 89-90 (bird shit kit) until they were binned off for Reebok were awful (do have a soft spot for the silver/grey away kit though).  Reebok made some great kits although we were pretty shit at that time too.

This new one if it is true is crap as well - too deep a red, almost Roma.  Nike have been fucking rubbish so far.

The current kit is a brighter red than the last couple of kits under NB.

What kind of salary are Nike kit designers on because its got to be one of the easiest jobs on the planet. Have you seen some of their footwear, just get  a toddler to draw and colour in for a bit and your jobs done for you.

Toddlers sometimes manage to do their colouring-in within the lines, something that escapes Nike's

kit designers.

1996-98 is our most underrated kit, in my opinion. Swap the full crest for a liver bird and it would be our best shirt since 1987-89.

Those home Reebok shirts are as heavy as fuck although I have to admit, they're also long lasting. Their weight is like the 1970's version of a shirt. Fuck knows how heavy the player version was. Im wearing the long sleeve ecru as my long sleeve red is in the wash.

Didnt I see somewhere Adidas have confined the Reebok brand into extinction recently?

Yes I agree. Nike have given us some right shite. Black checkard is ugly and so is the green. The home isn't so shit but needs the liver bird in yellow. NB deep red was my favourite, lovely kit.

We've been shite since binning NB.

Yeah, all the reebok kits suffered because of the badge, the simple white round collar that I always think of Michael Owen wearing (that one you've posted I think as a Fowler shirt) was another nice top but for the badge. I used to have a long sleeve version I wore for 5 a side.

I reckon all of us on here could come up with better designs over the weekend so how do these design experts get it so wrong? The club should have certain design restrictions on the home and away shirt (white, red trim, black shorts white socks every time) and only allow fuckery on the 3rd 4th 5th or 6th kits only.

Agree, the badge on that was a shocker.  I really liked the treble shirt apart from the odd shade of red.

I really liked the retro 50s/60s shape badge, but the full crest spoiled it.

I was never a fan of the 2000-02 kit, it reminded me of a Coca-Cola can and the badge was far too small.

Yeah, I get what they were going for with the oval - but the obsession with having the full crest for, I think, copyright reasons from the mid-90s onwards was crap.  Glad Warrior/NB brought the traditional badge back.
