True, but pace would come under Klopp and the way he trains. Not saying he would be speedy but he would learn to carry the weight better and benefit pace wise. The other CB you are probably thinking about is Süle.

As were many others.  Not arsed about pace for a CB, it's a bonus, rather than being essential.

 

Klopp had Hummels at Dortmund, who is not quick at all.

 

Edit - Some of those "defending skills" in the above video - are actually examples of bad defending.

Initial impressions - He looks very raw to me. Lots of talent, but rash, bit of a showboater, like Stones.

Rumour mill (maybe not the reliable part of it just yet, to be fair) says we might be looking at a January move for Ntep from Rennes today.  

 

Got to say, if we're looking for a player to replace Mane during the ACON and then to be his backup going forward, this one make a lot of sense.  He's basically a poor man's version of our Sadio, very quick and direct.  Two caveats: 1)he's injured quite a lot and 2) he usually plays on the left, though from his style you'd imagine he could move over without too much fuss.  Depending on the price I could see this one making a lot of sense, both for this year and then looking further forward to next season when we'll presumably be in Europe and need a player to back up Sadio who offers something similar
