He got Spurs into the Champions League (where we want to be) and beat Internazionale, inspiring Bale into the transfer fee record books, whist getting one over Reds legend Rafa Benitez.  He has family connections with the club and speaks highly of it, I believe (save for his latest outburst).  He's practically made for us.

Old Harry has had his day. He did a decent enough job at Spurs - not decent enough for them to keep employing him, mind. I think in the short term he would be better than Rodgers, as the players will hear someone different and he will send out a balanced team. But we can, and should, do much better.

PS - not sure why he's picking on us by saying its the worst squad he's seen in years. It improved just this past summer. I think our squad isn't bad at all, especially if a manager can get the most out of it. 

 

If Redknapp wants to have a pop, why doesn't he have a go at Man Utd? From Champions to spending hundreds of millions on their squad and being way behind their previous level.
