Does Rodgers deserve another season.

"Sacking Rodgers is not the answer - the club just needs to recruit better."

What the fuck? Seriously?

What is this increasingly widespread opinion that somehow the manager can't be blamed for signings? It's like someone has rewritten the rules for judging managers.

In a way, the committee has been a huge advantage for Rodgers as a novice manager. If we have a good season, it is "I coached them and motivated them" and if we have a poor one, it's "My hands were tied, we need to recruit better." I think Rodgers realizes this too.

Fuck Rick fucking "can only sell the family jewels once" fucking Parry. He's one of the shithouses that saw us near on the brink of disappearing because he hasn't heard of a google search. He can take his ill-informed opinions and fuck right off the floppy haired twat.

We need two things. We need a DOF or Sporting Director (ideally the guy at Seville) who can oversee the transfers, We also need a head coach/manager who can get the best out of the players we get and also liaise with the DOF over targeting and getting the right players. Rodgers refused to work under this structure because he wanted sole responsibility, he got it and then straight away went out and tried to buy half of Swansea.

How do you see the structure of transfers working under a Director of Football?

Which 'every top club in Europe' would they actually be then? Care to name them so we can see your evidence?

basically every club bar Arsenal, where Wenger has huge autonomy. For ex. a committee works under Monchi at Sevilla with head coach Emery, Klopp worked under Zorc for 7 years, BVB have a "transfer committee", chef of recruitment, analisys etc, it's just not called a committee. Michel Zorc oversees them all. I know you all think that our commitee is some sort of fucking masonic lodge with hidden agenda to drain LFC dry, but that's not my problem. A structure with Director of Football, head coach and so called "committee" is the cornerstone of every serious club. I recommend some research because the balderdash that's being said here about our club's structure and transfers is becoming boring.

I don't think it means that  the manager isn't to blame.

It is his fault, but he could correct that. If he gets recruitment right he will be a fine manager.

Here's my suggested policy for him to use free of charge.

Buy players who are better than the equivalent first team player.
