I’ve a toshiba laptop and the mouse is heading off into the corners by itself and meaning I can’t get any work done. I’m not back in the office until Tuesday to get IT to look at it but need to get a ton of work done this weekend. I remember this happened to a laptop in my last place of work too but can’t remember how it was remedied. Any advice on how I can even do a temporary fix?

Install Java to improve your computer experience, Grammarly for the spell checking and unistall Windows as it's a bit unreliable.

Once these things are done I have no idea what will happen.

Use the track pad if it has one so you can get some work done, or go out an buy another mouse tomorrow.

It's the pointer going mental on the screen.  The touch pad thingy is the same.  I've literally no way of controlling the pointer.  Very annoying.

No-one has remote access to your laptop and is playing silly buggers?
