I am going there for 6 nights/5 days next week

Anyone got any recommendations for the place

Any hotel suggestions would be great around the 75-100 quid a night range

Best advice I can give you is...

 

... Do you research on where you want to spend your time in Tokyo, and pick a hotel based on location.

 

You can spend fucking HOURS on the metro. No joke.

Another FYI

 

To save your panicking... You can ONLY use your ATM card at 7-11 ATMs. That's it. Don't bother trying all the different ones.

 

The plus side? 7-11s are literally everywhere and each one has an ATM.

Read up about the metro and trains in general, its confusing but when you know how it works its also great.

 

Take plenty of cash. It ain't cheap.

My mates wife paid for my mate to go to Tokyo when a certain team played there in late 2005.

 

He ended up going to some whore house and like an idiot paid for it on his credit card.

 

He was looking at the 'menu' and despite not fully knowing what was what or understand the prices, he went for the cheapest one.

 

Anyway, he ended up getting some hand job from a pig he didn't really enjoy.

 

When he got home & his credit card bill came, his Mrs saw he spent £150 in 'Bangkok Sex Palace'.

 

Still not sure how he wormed his way out of it.
