I could see FSG sanctioning a move for Musah.

Only ever seen him play in Qatar, I thought he looked decent for the US.

Only just turned 20. Apparently he was at Arsenal’s academy, represented England at youth level before deciding on playing for the US (where he was born). Apparently Southgoat attempted to get him to stay available for the England side.

Seems to have done quite well for Valencia, read he has a £30m release clause. We could probably get him for less, Valencia always seem broke and need money.

He’d certainly put some athleticism back into our midfield. Not much of a goal threat though.

He ticks at least one of our boxes, then.

As much as getting Enzo Fernandez and Bellingham playing in a team together is a dream, there is now way we can afford both of them in the same year errrr decade

Oh we could afford it alright...

Being willing to actually spend the money is a different thing totally though.

Regardless of who we might get in the summer, we still need to strengthen in January.

Without doubt.

1. We need it now anyway

2. It helps to spread the amount of chamge we need to make so are not trying to bed in too many players at once.

The size of the midfield rebuild is such that it has to be done over multiple windows.

The injurues up front to Jota and Diaz throw a bit of a problem our way too....it is a lot to ask of Salah, Firmino and Nunez to be our front 3 for what looks like the next 3 months or so.

Darwin, Bobby and Mo were doing alright before the World Cup, we’ve got Carvalho needing minutes as well, plus Jota to return as well as Diaz. We’re not short up front, especially given only Darwin went the to World Cup and Uruguay didn’t get out of the group.

Given Diaz is out until March, Jota Feb i'd say we are short.

Who knows as well how long it will take them to get back to speed when been out for 4 and 5 months.

2 or 3 games a week for 2 to 3 months with only 3 proper forwards is not good.

1 injury to those 3 and we are in bother.

None of the cover options are up to it IMO - namely Oxlade, Jones, Carvalho - far from ideal not being able to get Nunez properly central as well.......We saw at Forest how blunt we were when only had 2 of the 3 fit.

I'd be looking at getting someone in - I feel we need it, no proven/real rotation options for 2-3 months is a problem - and we risk running the 3 into the ground.

We don't know what sort of level Jota and Diaz can be at too - Jota had no pre season, got a bad injury and won't return until Feb......that is no base at all to be at the sort of level we need and this Diaz situation is worrying - you don't come in after 5 months out and surgery and be at it.

Really we could do with another experienced forward and loan Carvalho out. He needs games but does t look physically strong enough yet imo. A 6 month loan deal, even with a option would be a idea.

There's a few who are out of contract in the summer that might be available cheap options. Marcus Thuram,Depay,Ben Brereton Díaz,Luis Muriel.

Stop gap option probably easy got onload like Adama Traore,6 months left on his deal so probably easy got even on loan for a reasonable fee. While you don't want him starting league games he'd be helpful for cup games and getting some of the starters a rest if we are winning games late on

We supposedly already want Youssoufa Moukoko from Dortmund so getting him agreed amd paying Dortmund the 20/25ml fee would probably help with the Bellingham deal aswell

Said before not sure on Amrabat. Seeing more of him he actually looks good on the ball aswell. Still only concern is one thing doing it for defensive teams and another being the lone 6 in our midfield. But 25/30ml looks worth the risk.

Still wish we'd have got Ziyech instead of letting Chelsea waste him
