Because Klopp makes his decisions based on what fucking rawk think. Jesus fucking Christ

No, he'll make the decision on whether or not he thinks Karius is good enough and if he was concussed then arguably Klopp will keep him, if the fans back him.

The club are not crying about it. The only people crying about it are hysterical nobends on the Internet

In fairness, a Liverpool goalkeeper did produce the worst performance of all time in a match that mattered. You've got to expect some hysteria...

I don’t think it was the worst performance of all time but yeah it was pretty fucking shocking. That’s not what this is about though, is it?

Funny, in rugby, the medical staff seem to notice it fairly quickly......

Not always, and it’s a sport where concussion is the most common injury, so they’re obviously going to have better standards in place to deal with head trauma incidents.

Worse goalkeeping performance in a major final ever? I can't think of one.

And that is what this is all about. Because, if it wasn't the worst goalkeeping performance of all time in a major final, nobody would be dicussing his medical condition...

Well some rugby specialist has just been on tv and said it could quite easily been missed. I remember when Skrtel was forced to go off in the first minute of a game with concussion and everyone thought it was an overreaction.

Bert Trautmann's neck would be spinning in his grave.

It wasn’t a profoundly terrible performance, it was just punctuated by two catastrophic errors. I think calling it the worst of all time is probably hyperbolic. It’s certainly the worst Liverpool display by a goalkeeper in a final that I can remember, no arguments there.

This isn’t about the performance, it’s about the club’s supposed media manipulation to try and fool fans into forgiving him. It’s complete drivel.

No reasonable fan is fooled, hopefully.

Yeah, the idea that this is a conspiracy to try to save money on a keeper is... strange.

So the purpose of consenting to release medical opinion from a Boston hospital that our owners support while Karius was on holiday in California was... ?

If he's been scanned after the game and someone had come out and said 'this man has a concussion' I'd have some sympathy for the lad, but that news report looks like something from O.J. Simpson's defence lawyers.

'Not impossible he didn't suffer a concussion which - in theory - may have impacted his special awareness - i.e, the way he sees objects in space'.

I mean what the fuck?

The bottom line here is that if you perform so badly in a match your club's first instinct is to send you for an MRI scan, it's time to take up kabaddi instead.

Jesus, indeed. So you think he was concussed but not aware of the fact, nor was the medical staff?

Yeah I would say that is eminently possible. The symptoms are not always immediately apparent and concussion can present in a variety of ways. Supposedly half of all sporting cases are non obvious and only further testing can corroborate.

Concussion isn’t taken as seriously in football as it is in other sports, there should be provisions for testing to take place at the time of the incident. I think the response to this story is very telling.

What proof is there that head trauma isn't taken seriously in football?

Surely the medical report said he was concussed, and it could have impacted his performance, not that it did.

I don't think it changes anything, I could have saved that second one when I was fucking steaming. But I guess it's a point of consideration

What was the time frame between the head injury and the cluster fucks?

The cluster fucks started about twelve months before the head injury.

And the diagnosis is non committal about his performance.

It comes across as a poor attempt to revive his career at Liverpool, or from an FSG point of view to revive the value of the asset.

Concussion or not, he has never been a keeper that fills you with confidence. Send him on loan to Germany and stop fucking about and get a decent keeper.

I've had more confidence in him than in any Liverpool keeper since Reina.

Chop his head off and the point still dtands.

By pure coincidence, the hospital that made the concussion diagnosis happens to be the recipient of significant funds from John W. Henry.

Took me all of one minute to figure that out.

When the keeper reported that he wasn't feeling great, the club referred him to a hospital with which they have a relationship.

Obvious proof that there's fuck all wrong with him and the doctor is lying as part of a massive conspiracy.
