Recently Spurs have started like a freight train against us, caught us cold and hung on. If we keep it tight for 20 mins they usually run out of ideas and drop further and further back.

I think it will be this, I prefer Henderson to Downing and think Jordan can be an important player for this team but can see why Brendan would want some natural width, just hope he doesn't bottle it, he has been decent recently against Mediocre teams but I still don't have confidence in him to show up against the better teams

Think the idea will be to get spurs away from their normal game where they are quite high with their defence, and force their midfielders down further and tus force their counters to start from a deeper position. As well as this will probably be our best line up from an attacking point of view.

Obviously miss Pepe but nothing can be done about that. I'd personally have liked to see Henderson start because his energy could be important in a game like today, but maybe Brendan sees him as a useful sub to bring on towards the end when both teams tire.
