Venue: The Bristolian, Montpelier, Bristol

Price point: £9.50

Detailed ingredients: 2 x (Small) Sausage, 1 x Bacon, 1 x Black Pudding, 2 x Fried Eggs, Fried Potatoes, Sautéed Spinach, Tomato, Beans, a slice of sourdough bread

Verdict: Tasty, enjoyed everything on the plate, though bacon was overcooked. The fried potatoes might have been a controversial inclusion, but were very nice.. added a bit of crunch to the dish. Enjoyed the black pudding as well.

Chipped leftover teddies are a staple inclusion back home, spinach might be a bit more controversial.  Using chives to hide the relative lack of yolk is a bit crafty too.  That looks good though.

I’m at Addenbrookes hospital waiting for Mrs Turdseye to have a procedure. I thought I’d go down to the concourse and get a breakfast of literal hospital food so I could post a picture of it and get negged to buggery. Alas, they weren’t serving breakfasts so I had a Burger King instead.

Bean burger?

Regional variations of a fry-up.. I like it.

Scotland - Haggis

Ireland - White pudding

West Country - Fried potatoes

Happy to confirm that I’ve ticked all those boxes.
