They realised after we 'd won it that it was ridiculous we couldn't wear it in our league games, so they changed the rules for the next time.  If we win the European Cup this season and the World Club Cup next year, then we get to wear it.

Stop sounding like Everton fans you melts.

Iirc 14 clubs voted for us not to be allowed to wear it. What would change aside from we weren't current champions?

We should have had the bollocks to leave the badge on our shirts and sent them a signed blank cheque.

Said the same thing, well almost, when the PL refused us permission to wear our CL badge of distinction in league games after we won number 5.

We now know that if united or chelsea ever win a 5th, they'll be given permission and we'll belatedly have to ask.

the phrase No shit Sherlock comes to mind.

Makes me want to puke. These cunts are going to be sold 'debt free' but it wont give them an advantage. I wouldnt trust a single word Buck says, he's all out for himself and that club.

Premier League clubs have asked Chelsea chairman Bruce Buck whether the pledge by Roman Abramovich to wipe out the club’s outstanding £1.5 billion debt could hand the club itself, and the Russian’s successor as owner, a competitive advantage.

The discussion was raised in a call convened by the Premier League on Monday afternoon to update the 19 other clubs on the state of play at Chelsea, in the light of the sanctions against Abramovich and the subsequent league decision on Saturday to disqualify him as a director.

Although Abramovich has never formally been a director of the club – he is the sole owner through his company Fordstam Limited – he was in effect regarded by the Premier League as a director.

As with many Premier League shareholders’ discussions there was much inference of meaning – and the hint of certain clubs’ anxieties - in questions, rather than direct confrontation. But the mood on the call, according to sources, was that the new owners of Chelsea could potentially benefit from the removal of the debt, built up over the last 19 years as Abramovich super-charged Chelsea into the elite of European football.

Buck took questions from many clubs and did his best to mollify and reassure those on the call that the benefits of selling Chelsea debt-free far outweighed any potential disadvantages.

Buck said that there was no suggestion that Abramovich, who was sanctioned by the Government last week, in light of the Russian invasion of Ukraine and his association with President Vladimir Putin, would make any profit from the sale.

He said it was the Chelsea owner’s express intention that all the money raised from the sale would go to charity. There has not yet been any specific comment on who those funds will benefit, nor as to whom they will not benefit.

No sale can yet go ahead until the Government issues Chelsea with a new licence allowing the club to be sold. Under the terms of its current licence, issued on Thursday as part of the Government’s “Russia Regulations” package of sanctions, the club cannot be sold. Buck was clear in his discussion with the clubs that Chelsea had enough cash at hand to complete the season and would not go into financial administration.

The bids for the club have to be submitted by the close of play on Friday to Raine Group in New York which is overseeing the process. After that the terms of the Government licence will dictate how the process works although it is understood there will be considerable Government oversight on the sale.

Telegraph Sport revealed that the consortium of US investor Todd Boehly; Swiss billionaire Hansjorg Wyss and the British property developer, and Chelsea fan, Jonathan Goldstein is the favourite currently. The complete picture of bidders will be much clearer by the weekend.

The Premier League and the Government are keen for a swift sale that does not involve politically sensitive entities. The Premier League policy director Helen MacNamara will appear in front of a Department of Digital, Media, Culture, Sport select committee on Tuesday to discuss football’s response to the Ukraine crisis and Russia disinformation.

The brass balls on that scummy club to demand that becuase they are being punished for having a dodgy owner the other teams they play should also be punished.

Fucking whoppers i hope they go bust.

Quite. I was just thinking “sporting integrity”. Something they’ve not adhered to for 20+ years.

Carragher was spot on about them on MNF last night. He suggested Utd should take advantage of the situation and go for Tuchel. Apparently a load of Chelsea fans gave him shit at Stamford Bridge on Sunday because of it and he rightly pointed out that's the sort of thing Chelsea have been doing for 20 years

Since last night? He hammered them last night mate

Jamie Carragher has apologised to Chelsea fans after he dismissed the success of the club's youth academy during a rant about their fortunes since Roman Abramovich took over as owner.

Carragher also admitted that he had got 'a little emotional' during his polemic on Sky Sports' Monday Night Football.

Carragher had accused some fans of being 'hypocritical' after he received backlash for suggesting Manchester United should make an approach for Thomas Tuchel amid the uncertainty at Stamford Bridge.

This “sporting integrity” comment makes me want to throw up.

If no away fans are allowed to Chelsea and it’s 100% home support, doesn’t that damage “sporting integrity”.

What a set of wankers.

The way they are playing the victim and ignoring why these sanctions have been put in place are nauseating.

Their sudden interest in integrity is fucking hilarious.

They're like that visiting keeper that takes 90 seconds over each goal kick. Swapping the ball from one side of the goal to the other; cleaning his boots on the post; re-fitting his gloves.

We score.

He suddenly can't take kicks fast enough; chasing about like a blue arsed fly.
