Didn't watch it last night. It's pretty pointless viewing these days. Lib Dems and Tories always agree, Labour usually send a nobody on to trot out the same old shite. The main attraction is usually a comedian, which says it all.

Ken Clarke would be laughable if it wasn't for the fact he's in the cabinet.

It would have been utterly staggering how quickly he turned the opening tax avoidance question into a dig at benefit fraud if it wasn't such an obvious turn around.

Someone once said (paraphrased):

"The role of opposition is to prove the incompetence of government, and invariably they succeed"

Was it Simon Green?

Don't usually watch this bunch of lying bastards, but Baldrick is doing well here.

Just watched it on iplayer and you're right, Baldrick fucking tore out of the starting gates and tore into the crooked fucking bankers with a gusto Mr B. wudda been proud of.

I thought the tory hewwer was embarrassingly clueless though. Think the batteries had run out on her pager.

Sex Pistol meets Tory crack whore had to be be car crash TV but sadly not much happened. Called her a twat (indirectly) but that was it. She is actually quite fit....

If anyone actually wants to hear David Nutt's side of the story about him getting sacked by Alan Johnson then check out the Guardian Science Podcast last week. The reason he said E is safer than horse-riding is because it is. He didn't just make that up, he did an actual sicentific study into harm, as he thought if you're going to have a drugs policy it should base itself on the reality of what is actually harmful, and have a scale.

He said Johnson was generally reading from the same page but obviously just bottled it when he said it in publicv and the Mail and Sun wnety mental. Basically he's a massive coward who sacked him for political reasons. So, no real surprise there.
