Got me a sandwich press the other day -- this fella here

We got a Panini griddle thing quite a while back, they are great, I would advise against using them for Steaks etc (even though they say they can do them) as they make a right mess. They make good panini sandwiches and are good for grilling veg.

@ Piston - Yep I got it so I could fuck off the Cuban sandwich shop that robs me of 7 us everytime. My daughter goes through about 5 a week.

Hahaha, we got ours as the kids live off toasties etc if left to their own devices. Our daughter who is a student was giving way too much out on subway and the likes. Bought the Panini griddle and they both use it loads for making warm baguettes/panini sandwiches etc.

They always leave it for the missus and myself to clean though, bastards.

I never really dabble with toasties. Getting them just right is a skill that escapes me. I usually stick to just cheese and let it cool down so the cheese tastes more salty. Then I dip it in brown sauce. BBQ if I'm feeling fruity.

Leading on from the Amsredam thread, toasties (and pizzas) are a staple diet of getting you through the day in the red light district.

Those iced waffles go down a treat too

When making toasties spread margarine lightly on both sides of the bread, or like I do only the side that is going to be making contact with the plates on the machine. Too many people just put margarine on the inside bit of the sandwich and wonder why it sticks to the plates and the teflon covering is fucked after a short time.

Pulled my toastie maker out of the back of the cupboard to make a toastie for breakfast. It was so good I had another for lunch. I'll be having another for dinner, with varying ingredients.

Toasties. Fuck yea.

Thinly sliced chicken breast, sun-dried tomato, garlic butter, grated cheddar:

You've already had your Dinner. If you have another one its for your Tea.
