The replies to this, mainly from Arsenal fans.  Looks like their arses have already gone; not long until their players get infected by that.

Fuckin hell. I’m sat here feeling sorry for Paul Tierney. What a mad world.

But there’s video evidence that this wasn’t the case.

So Tierney is now dropped for a minor error that realistically led to nothing? Guess getting a 'consultant' referee or whatever cuntflaps is doing for them has worked then, probably helps he'll be in his mate Webbs ear.

Years ago I had a go at doing a bit of stand-up comedy.  Part of my routine was about the way people behave at the match: I launched into a foul-mouthed tirade full of death threats against the referee, with the punchline "that was our throw-in".

Geddit?

It was supposed to be funny that anyone would have such a violently over-the-top reaction to such an utterly inconsequential decision.  It was meant to be absurd, because something like that wouldn't happen in real life.

Have Forest written to the PGMOL again?

They don't need to, they now have a direct line to the man at the top.

I assume there hasn't been any consequences for them surrounding the ref at full time(past the red card) and their owner chasing the refs down the tunnel either?

Unfortunately, (or fortunately) no pics or video are available; although the website of the people who ran it used to have a compilation of clips, in which my only appearance was the completely decontextualised, agonised cry of "that was our throw-in".

Of all the outrageous mistakes made by officials this season then this incident at Forest must be the biggest non event.

2 minutes after Tierney incorrectly gave Liverpool the ball a goal happens . So fucking what every game we see throw ins given the wrong way . No one loses their shit over it .

And no fuss has been made about the fan who came onto the pitch to have a go at Tierney. Which is quite incredible in this day and age. It's usually referees first defence about being shit.
