That’s a shame for Matip. Was looking like he was finally putting a sustained run of games together without picking up any knocks for the first time in his Liverpool career.

I’m sure Gomez will slot in without too much fuss. Matip was starting to nail that position down though.

Nice to have a game at Anfield, good for Joe Gomez to get a start with first XI, would like to see Naby and chamberlain get a start, doubt he’d do both. Expect Mo and Sadio to bag. 4-0 to the reds.

Gomez doesn't fill me full of confidence at the moment. He switches off far too much when he's been called upon. Hopefully by starting a meaningful game he sees it as a chance to force himself back in and returns to the form he had pre-broken leg.
