Dejan Lovren

Lovren was brilliant but with him in the side there is always a fuck up around the corner. We need an elite partner for VVD and Lovren can be back up.

We have to have an 11 where there is no weakness. Confidence and presence transmits to other players and the fans need to have no fear too.

Fabinho and Keita is a good start.

Oblak, Werner, fekir and a cb should see us challenge for everything.

I would like a Moreno upgrade too.

BREAKING: Croatian court finds that Dejan Lovren illegally took 50% of the transfer fee made from his move from Dinamo Zagreb to Lyon in 2010 - He will continue to be investigated and most likely be charged with perjury. [@AlexHoliga]

We need a  new centre back cause this chap has been dogshit since the day he signed.  Should never have lasted longer than 12 months at the club but finances rule football decisions and an asset's worth is more important than anything under these owners.

So much love for Dejan on social media lately. To be fair to him, he played a significant role in keeping two GOATs and arguably the best striker in the PL over the last 10 years goalless. Would be typical Lovren to put in a nightmare performance in the next round though.

Did ok last night but still had a brain fart in him.

He did more than okay IMO. It’s difficult to overstate how good Messi is as a footballer, in all likelihood we won’t ever see a better footballer than him in our lifetime. Aguero is arguably the best striker in the league and has been for the last ten years. He was also our man of the match against Real, I don’t need to tell you how magnificent Ronaldo is as a footballer surely.

No you don't. Should have cleared the ball when Argentina nearly scored, the goalie was never coming and dithered.

Has there ever been a centre half who doesn't have the odd brainfarts ?

I would say Lovren made 3 or 4 really poor errors last season & was good the rest of the time.

Good question. Even Vidic got destroyed regularly against us.

Lovren has the unlucky habit of not getting away with his major fuck-ups. His howlers usually cost us unfortunately.

Nah, no such thing as luck in that sense over four years.  He's cost us time and time and time again and will continue to do ao cause he keeps making mistakes.

It's why it's not that great getting very lucky and winning 1-0.  You don;t get away with it more often than not.

I agree, hence I don't see what others do on here. He does never seem to get away with one though. Did last night.
