Suarez bite v2

Maybe players like to go to spain because Barcelona and Madrid are lovely places and England is f*****g sh*t. Look out the window - it's the middle of summer and it's p*ssing down and blowing a gale.

World class players attract other world class players. Maybe suarez wants to play with messi and neymar. There are loads of reasons why players pick these two clubs over others.

80m or fuck off. There shouldn't have even been any talks as that's all that needed to be said. 70m and we're getting our pants pulled down. Why are we so shit at this?

Because the stupid, bitey, self-centred fuck is a liability and Barcelona know he's nailed on to spend a significant proportion of every season in the stands.

If anyone's to blame for us not getting his full value it's Suarez and his fucking antics.

Then we should do what we did last year. Tell him he won't be leaving so he can get his moan out of the way on his ban, have another world class season hopefully wining a trophy or two in the process and if he wants his move next summer he gets it at full ask. All he has to do is not fucking bite anyone this time.

I don't see why we should bend over for him at this point and I'll never think we should bend over for another club.

BBC report seems weird that we don't really care about Sanchez and would be happy with straight cash.

Can only hope we've got a couple of shit hot players practically in the bag.

It's the hope that kills us. I think Sanchez was our best chance at getting a replacement somewhere around that level.

That's what I think too plus we apparently were interested which is what makes the report that we're now not that fussed a bit weird.

Looks like Sanchez has swerved us then if this only a cash deal. Just think of how many young players we can buy, send out on loan, and give free transfers in a few years, with all that cash.

This. To replace the best player in the world we are raiding 8th placed Southampton and a Chelsea 4th stringer. You couldn't make it up if you tried.

Especially as it would almost certainly be untrue, being a prematurely incomplete account of what will ultimately likely happen.

Have some faith here guys.

We're Liverpool Football Club and we're a Champions League club again and that makes a hugh difference.

Spurs failed to replace Bale because they were not in the Champions League, if they were they would have been able to bring in better players with that money, simple as that.

With a £75M war chest we will almost certainly be able to bring in two 'stellar' signings.

If Sanchez doesn't want to come then fuck him, give the money to Brendan and let him do his work.

As as for the "8th place Southampton" jibes, get a fucking grip....did you even watch Lallana last season at all?

The money from the Suarez sale could set the team up for the next 5 years, if spent wisely. Have to believe that at least some of our scouting efforts have been spent on looking for development, rather than just established stars.

Spurs fucked up because they're a small club. We're not. Given our resources, we can do a lot better.

Yup. Starting with the bite.

He stuck his fingers up to the English press when Uruguay played England.

Bridges are burned. Bite was not a spontaneous act in my view.

We've seen the last of him.

£60 mill plus Sanchez. If no Sanchez then £90mill.

So you think that Suarez deliberately got himself kicked out of the world cup and banned for the chance of a move to Barca? Fucking paranoia doesn't even cover that.

I can believe that Barca have more influence with FIFA than us but that is mainly due to the fact that the Spanish media and FA don't spend every second slaughtering them

Jesus lads, I can't take much more of these ill informed ignorant reactionary opinions. It's like reading a letters page in the viz.

Firstly Suarez valuation - we say we want £80 mil and the opening bid is of £70 mil on day one, from a club who specialise in bullying and screwing others over. That's not an insurmountable difference in valuation to start with. £75-80 m is his true valuation and is an incredible amount of cash up front. Cavani cost about £53m , as did Falcoa, a young Ronaldo cost £80, and none of whom missed 29 league games through suspension in little over 2 and a half years. Whether Iain Ayre is a cock or not is irrelevant.

Secondly, doing little protest wees in our pants because Sanchez is no longer being demanded, and he is the only replacement out there who can soften the blow. Well swap deal rarely happen due to the already incredible complexities of these huge deals. (Samuel and Zlatan, cashly and Gallas ...er, cole and Gillespie.?.) plus he is primarily a winger who scored a career high of 20 goals last year. He's great, but let's have balance here. Does he not go missing when the game is tough?

Also players always 'prefer Arsenal' compared to Liverpool according to the press, but like trophies, these players rarely end up there when all is said and done.

I'm really concerned with Luis' impending departure. I was hoping against hope that he might stay now that we're back in the CL but doesn't seem likely at all now. It doesn't matter how much money we get for him, we'll never replace him unless we enter the realms of fantasy football and sign Messi.

What he brings to the team is irreplaceable and we're going to be a shadow of the team we are without him. And truthfully, Brendan's signings are not filling me with any optimism for the coming season, especially if Suarez is no longer at the club.
