Cardinals win it 6-3.

Chipper goes out with an infield single. A shame that the game will be remembered more for the awful call, rather than the last game of a sure fire hall of famer.

Can the Cardinals repeat? No one could finish them off last year, and they've already started this post season with a gritty win after the Braves were unable to execute routine defensive plays and handed the Cardinals vital runs.

Been watching Faith Rewarded, a documentary about the 2004 Red Sox World Series win, on Youtube. I suppose my main reason for doing so is to compare what NESV were trying to do back then to what FSG are trying to do now, and not just with regards to baseball. Say what you want about American sports, but they know how to make a good documentary about them.

Can anyone beat the Cards in playoff baseball?

Just 3 outs away from snatching victory from the jaws of defeat. Trailing 6-0 after 2.1 innings, they've scratched and clawed away at the Nats, and despite being 7-5 down going into the 9th, they go ahead and score 4 runs in the top of the inning, leaving them just 3 outs away from the NLCS against the Giants.

Tigers leave New York with a 2-0 lead in the ALCS. Rest day tomorrow and then Verlander takes the mound for the Tigers in Detroit for game 3.

How quiet have the crowd been at Yankee Stadium these past games? Neither game has sold out. Unheard of for playoff baseball.

That Jeter injury should've been a rallying point for them but instead they were like they were beaten before they started.

Lost without him. No one stepping into his shoes. Robinson Cano hitting .065 in the post season, A-Rod hitting just north of .100.

Telling statistic from the 2 games. Jeter and Ichiro have gone 0-8 when leading off an inning. Not putting the Tigers' pitching staff under any pressure, with the exception of the bottom of the 9th yesterday, when they jumped on poor pitching from Valverde.

Tigers take a 3-0 lead in the ALCS after a tense 2-1 victory over the Yankees tonight.

Tomorrow's pitching match up could be interesting. Scherzer faces CC, with the Yankess having to win, or they'll go home.

Bring out the brooms! It's time for the Yankees to be swept!
