One from the bucket list...3 cheese tortellini with mashed up cheapy beefburgers and peas, with plenty of spicy flavoursome sauces for you anti-sauciers. Pah!

Roast beef followed by the Tiramasu. Very tasty. Need to eat in now until March.

Yes - I’d eat that. If I had to quibble, I’d tell that those pretentious circles round the tiramisu to fuck off but I know they like that kind of shit in your part of the world so fair do’s.

Yes, swirls on a dessert are pretty much obligatory in every Surrey country pub. Along with black Labradors, blue Range Rovers and red trousers though not on the desserts.

Looks good. Not a huge fan of tirimasu myself but I know full well CD would

mix it into his roast, add peas then lash it into a bucket and eat it with his hands.

Two photos will never do justice to the time and effort it takes to make a decent Moussaka. It's become an obsession of mine of late. Probably made it every week for the last couple of months.

It's mostly the Bechamel sauce that is the fine line between success and failure, but I think I finally cracked it by using whipping cream and milk, as well as good quality tomatoes and herbs in the meat sauce, and perfectly cooked potatoes and eggplant (aubergine) in the base.

Opa.

That said, I’ve read all they actually do is give you the choice of the menu from the local takeaways.

Anyone who orders a well done steak is dead to me.

I'd end up on death row if some cunt served me that on a fucking plank of wood.

I've just been catching up with this thread. What a treat. This is low-key one of my favourite threads on the forum. A hidden gem. You go from Col's Michelin Star worthy presentation to CD's... erm... Dali inspired masterpieces.

It’s not Dali that comes to mind when I see that red bucket….
