The overlap is pretty good today if people haven’t seen it give it a watch.  I’m surprised Sky have let it go out.  They talk about Man City quite a bit and finally they’ve started pointing out the obvious.  The Man City fan on the panel who is paid by Man City doesn’t know what to do.  He just keeps parroting the same shit he’s clearly been trained to say thinking the same mainstream media questions would come with all the caveated bollocks they usually do.

Carra puts it right on him though and says on what planet can Man City have bigger commercial revenue than Real Madrid.  It’s just complete nonsense.  Neville then adds that Salford make more money than any other club in their division despite having the smallest crowds but none of their commercial income comes from related parties which is the important point.  He goes off saying that Man City’s commercial deals were signed off by CAS as market value which is hysterical.

At the end of the discussion the United fan just completely bodybagged him saying the whole thing is just a sports washing lie and you know where that money comes from and as much as he hates the Glazers he’s glad Qatar didn’t take over United because when you look at fans behaving like the City fan and defending the indefensible and acting stupid when obvious points are made he wouldn’t want united fans behaving like that.  He gets nasty about it but it’s about time somebody did.  It’s honestly a great watch.

Keys is a twat but at least he's calling Michael Oliver out as a bent cunt which is a fuck sight more than sky or bbc have got the ball to do.

He does kind of have a point there. The CBS show strikes me as one of those where they try really hard to make it seem like everyone is friends and there's a lot of #bants that is of course so natural, guys, it's just a couple pals havin fun talking footy!

What a fucking dickhead Carragher is, totally out of order.

Sacking from CBS on the cards? He must be on thin ice with Sky too.

He's still on CBS tonight and Kate Abdo has described him as the annoying middle child brother that always says something stupid.

I mean, he's not gonna get sacked for that. But if he's a man, he'll have offered a groveling apology.

Seems like Carragher might be in hot water over this comment.

As he should be

Came out with this the other day

I honestly think he's a massive fucking prick. He's been sky's pitch since the spitting and doesn't like being called out

I remeber the days when pundits where there to give a more expert opinion on the events of the game and then STFU.

This is a big part of the problem.

When Carragher is giving actual football analysis, he's really good at it and offers genuinely interesting insight. When he's messing around and trying to be a 'top banter' merchant he ends up making himself look like a dickhead.

Everything about TV pundits these days looks as if a 12 year old organised it. Take the obsession they have with bringing out a little table and doing the post-match chat by the pitch, often with umbrellas up to shield them from torrential downpours while the sound of the grass mower keeps drowning them out. Studios were introduced, amongst many other reasons, to make that kind of TV chat easier to conduct, and what do these twats do? They think that 'progress' is to go back outside again. They'll probably try going without microphones next, maybe cameras, too. That actually WOULD be an improvement.

Interesting piece on Football365 about this. They haven’t condoned it and have condemned it and praised the way she handled it, but they argue it’s an inevitable consequence of how CBS have chosen to present their football, and that Carragher is employed to play the clown on CBS and it’s every different to how he is on Sky.

Still, I’d have offered a quick apology based on who her boyfriend is.
