Dempsey is almost our typical type signing. The type of player thats never impressed too much but stands out in his team and as soon as he hits his richest vein of form we swoop in thinking we've signed a cracker but we haven't we have just given a big payday to a useless arrogant fuck who thinks he can rap, Dempsey you can't rap you are a bitch. Meep Meep!!!

Word.

Dempsey is much better than Carroll at this stage in both players careers.

I reckon it's about what Rodgers wants his strikers to do off the ball more than anything,Carroll always seems to have to be reminded and encouraged to put the effort in and chase down the opposing teams defenders

We've been making the same mistake for years instead of buying 2 very good/ world class players a season for say 20m each, we buy 4 mediocre ones. Mancs have built their success with this approach, will we ever learn? We have the spine and nucleus of a good team. Add say a Jesus Navas and a Cavani or pato to our current and we would have a team that would challenge.

Except we can't attract Pato or Cavani. Navas? Maybe.
