MP3`s not burning/showing properly and not showing correct size ?

Hi, this might sound strange but all of a sudden my mp3`s are not burning and are showing as error on my cd player.

The strange thing I have noticed is when I am dragging and dropping my files onto media player or xp burner, the files are showing as being much smaller than what they really are :wallbutt:

I have not changed anything like cd media, and files have been burned before with no issues. Please can anyone give me ideas ?

If you are using iTunes to rip CDs, they normally default to the AAC format, and this seems to get fucked up from time to time causing the playback problems you've described. You CAN change the format to mp3.

1 - Select track and right click to bring up the menu.

2 - Select "Create mp3 Version" from the menu. From there you can select the bit rate you want from the sub-menu, and also where you wish to save it.

3 - iTunes will create the mp3 version.

4 - Once done, you will see 2 versions of the same track. Right click and select "Get Info", and it will either say AAC or mp3. Delete the AAC version.

I can't tell you any more because this is all from memory. I'm not looking a iTunes right now, but you CAN change the default format setting to mp3 instead of AAC. Saves you having to go through this rigmarole again. If you aren't using iTunes, then I don't know the answer.
