Same tip as everyone else really (using day old cold rice).

Just wanted to add my love of Nasi Goreng, was in Malaysia a few years ago and nearly lived on it everyday for my lunch.

Never heard of this stuff but after looking it up it means fried rice, so what is it? Do you mix it in with fried rice?

It is fried rice, but more than Chinese fried rice, it is spiced with chillis and tamarind and can have other bits thrown in.

In Malaysia I was told it was a dish used for leftovers, so many different meats were used, in Malaysia it was always served with a fried egg on top and satay skewers on the side.

Think it is actually from Indonesia so my experience may be different to what it traditionally is.
