Im no hip hop fan so im not going to be listening to some underground sham trying to hear some lyrical genius. Ive yet to hear a song id call lyrical genius infact as far as im concerned lyrics and genius dont ever meet. I think its harder to create good lyrics that make sense for a melody than it is a beat. Most rap could be swapped over to any other rap song and fit. 99 percent of Rap is shite, but then 99 percent of every genre of music is shite.

 

Is there anyone you would consider genius, that standout like a sore thumb amongst their peers. Kanye isnt a genius but I think he's bloody good at what he does.

I really don't understand all the hype. I've listened to it a few times now and there's some nifty sampling and production going on but apart from that I found it boring and annoying. Much like Kanye West really.
