....it has been rumoured that Aguero would've been the 'star' signing had DIC taken over in 2007...

The one that they had actually got as far as talking too about a move was Henry.

We don't need Tom & George, we only need Brownie & Paul, to merge Liverpool with Atletico Madrid.

Why? We already bought Argentina for 1.5 million Euros yesterday. If the weather was better, we could have had the mother of barbecues outside Anfield to celebrate.

Liverpool boss Rafael Benitez admits there has been a slight hitch in his bid to sign Atletico winger Maxi Rodriguez.

The Argentina international had been due to join the Merseysiders on a loan deal until the end of the season, but the move has been delayed.

Benitez said: "Rodriguez is an experienced player, a good international and he scores goals.

"The deal was almost done, but then there was a problem between the player and Atletico Madrid. So he is still, at the moment, their player."

Such is the dire financial situation where in, Rodriguez will not sign until Dossena completes his move to Napoli.
