Liverpool and Everton 'must' share new ground, council says

Recommended Posts

I saw an article somewhere that gave the "potential stadia for 2018", and one of them was 'New' Anfield.

Bradley's just shitting himself cos he'll forever be known as the council leader who couldn't keep the shite in the city, well fuckoff Bradley, we don't want a ground share same as you didn't before your pipe dreams of the Kings Dock went down the Swanee.

I can't wait till they fuckoff to the Tesco Toffeedome.

Did you know they're so skint they're not getting a demolition firm in? Big Gay Bill is sending for the Big Bad Wolf, and he's gonna huff and puff and blow the dump down.

In a nutshell.

He has had almighty stick from Evertonians for his feeble attempts to keep them in the city & as a Blues s/t holder he is feeling the pressure. Our latest financial woes have give him the chance to spread this shite to dirty the waters.

Also , the Fire bobby's courses must be better than they were if they are including financial analysis these days.

If the yanks are to stay at Liverpool, groundshare is the only way we will move to a new stadium.

Would they do a u-turn and groundshare?

Fuckin right they would. They don't care, what we think.

I think you're absolutely right there - as if we needed one, that's surely another reason to hope they do one as soon as possible.

What the fuck happened to their Tesco thing anyway? I was looking forward to standing there as they left the city and shouting: "Goodbye blues! Goodbye blues!...Goodbye blues!"

"Everton, meanwhile, will find out by the autumn if their proposed *controversial move outside the city to a new stadium at Kirkby – in partnership with Tesco – will be agreed by the *government."

It's in the article Section. Come on, you're better than this ;-)

There is no conspiracy - we haven't won owt for years, we have several sackings of loyal employees behind the scenes, we have a scouting system that is shit, an academy that hasn't produced any decent players for years despite the club buying 100 young players to boost the reserves, and we have two owners who are two of the biggest shysters not just in sport but also busines.. and we have a manager who splits the fans down the middle and seems to want control of the whole club.......

Media will be all over it until we get some stability and accoutability at the club.

Fuck me lad do you ever switch off, primadonna or what.

The academy has been shit for years. We've sacked the U18 and U16 coaches who have been here for years. Err...

Do you think I actually read these things? I only read the outrage which follows.

All true but the ground would cost nearer to £400m, even if the deliberately low figure of £300m quoted is true, the Shite have stated they will only enter in an agreement if they own 50% if it.

They have as much chance of finding and paying 150-200m as we do of paying the full £400m for our own on Stanley, under the current owners.

They won't be building a cheeky discounted stadium on SP any time soon either, as we have a 999 year lease on it.

If they're bought out before us and can raise up to £200m, then we'll have to consider it but until then, its just Bradley trying it on with the bluff and bluster.

Liverpool FC generate up to 3 times the income for the City than Everton do and that's what counts - the prospect of Everton rebuidling in the area is a guaranteed loss of revenue; not good business sense.

You can amplify this as the Walton/Anfield area are hotspots for the council and desperately requires the amount of funding that they alone cannot deliver - until LFC came in with the golden egg of a new stadium plus extensive regeneration plans for that whole area, which is completely knackered; they've done fuck all with Kensington and that's arguably worse.

Bradley knows Everton are DESPERATE to jump in with us and is trying to bluff that between all 3 parties it can happen - even then, at £100m down each, they can't put in and I doubt if even we could.

LCC are almost obliged to give us this extra time to sort the ownership out and get back to building the thing, albeit the nightmare its starting to become.

In short, do one Warren.

Its going to happen.

No

No it won't

Mainly because it just isn't feasible, it's just Bradley wanting his name in the paper again

The only way it will happen is if the council build and own the ground and rent it out to Everton and Liverpool.

Liverpool want to build and own there own ground because it will be an asset of the company.

What about the club store for example are you going to built two

Never going to happen unless council build it

Try and re-read the bit in bold, Sunshine.

Lets say we agree to groundshare where would they get 150m from for there half?

If you set up a joint company to build and own the stadium, what would happen if they didnt make there half of any loan repayments?

Once you start to ask questions like this you can see the only way it works is for someone else to build it and lease it to both clubs

It just wont work before you start discussing colour schemes.
