Heat is an awful movie , it's high standing amongst movie fans is not deserved. I hate it.

 

Heat and Blade Runner are two films that friends of mine have raved about whose opinions I normally rate highly, but I've been bored shitless by, try as I might to get into them. Tried to watch Heat about 3 times (formulaic as it comes, would be a 5/10 for the masses if it wasn't for the much hyped De Niro-Pacino combo), and Blade Runner and its Director's Cut about 5 times (and I'm a huge sci-fi nut too, but it's so uninspiring, a bogstandard action flick in a fairly unimaginative futuristic setting), and never finished either. Definitely a personal taste thing, as I can see why others like them, just been completely nonplussed by both films despite giving them the benefit of the doubt.
