'One Night In Miami'

Excellent dramatisation of a night spent together by Malcolm X, Muhammad Ali, Sam Cook & Jim Browm as the go through what it is to be a black man in america at the time and what they can, or cannot, do to help the civil rights movements.

Great storytelling and acting.

7.5 raised fists in the air out of ten.

Jim never got his darts out, smart arse, he left that to Eric Bristow and Pamela, from Ebbsfleet.

Though much like the equality they chased during the civil right's days it was as mythical and as out of reach as the speed boat they could have won, there are parallels there, I s'pose.

The Peanut Butter Falcon

Shia Lebouf, Dakota Johnson star in this Rainman style road movie, upstaged by the fantasticZack Gottsagen.

Heart warming and wonderful.

8/10 Kodi - The Crew

This film has had a few good responses, great to see it getting seen. Not a famous film at all, a real hidden gem.

Gangster Squad

2013 , It's on Netflix for anyone who hasn't seen it.

True story of the gangster Micky Cohen. A mobster trying to take over LA comes up against LAPD in 1949 with a cast including Sean Penn, Josh Brolin, Ryan Gosling, Emma Stone, Giovanni Ribisi, Nick Nolte, Michael Pena, Anthony Mackie and Robert Patrick you'd think it would be a fucking belter and very well know...? is it? I'm pretty sure I'd never even heard of it.

It has one or two Dick Tracy moments and is a bit art-deco (as it should be) but its actually good. Well worth a watch.

7.2/10

The painter and the thief.

Documentary about two very different people and very different lives brought together through the stealing of a painting to fund drug addiction.

In all honesty it’s quite remarkable and if you don’t wail at points you have no soul.

A genuinely beautiful document of humanity.

Edit: I put it here as it’s very cinematic and hopefully more will see it.
