i share the grief NP.is it true the players and owners where only 2mill£ apart?

 

I think they were 7 million apart, however both Goodenhow? and especially Bettman did not want to appear weak and shallow and cave in so the fans pay the penalty.

 

Sack them both.

Yep, $6-7M. Both made concessions near the end, players accepted salary cap and owners said salaries not tied to league revenue, but it was too late- if Bettman and Goodenow had done this earlier they would have played. Gretzky was almost in tears.

 

TR is right, they should both be sacked. Goodenow thought the owners would cave in like 1994 just to play.
