Apparently if we win this it pushes the Everton league game to after the international break, which would obviously be much better for us given current player availability.

First time I've found myself hoping for an international break soon. Just so we can give our lads a bit of an extra rest.

Having the Everton game during it would be a bonus.

You reckon the training regime is more physically demanding than when they used to come out of the "sweat box" and throw up?

The real exertion must come after the photographer leaves, because I've never seen anyone looking fit-to-drop in any of the training pics.

I read somewhere recently that training these days mimics the on pitch demands. Would explain why we get so many injuries over the years and why some players just cant hack it, like Keita and Thiago.

You know, I thought Klopp knew what he was talking about when he mentions the rhythm of training to allow recovery and preparation, so players' fitness peaks on matchday; but if you read somewhere that modern training is all about running players into the ground, then it must be true.

Klopp can go in the summer.

Got a spare ticket for this.

Literally nobody wants it.....me and my mate have tried all our mates and either already boxed off already or not interested.

If anyone is interested message me.

I'll warn you now though it is a case of a picture of the code from my phone (screenshot is not allowed by phone) it 100% works though as we have done it before. I'd provide screenshot of spec details and confirmation of payment of ACS for game....If don't fancy it because of that fair do's but as i say if interested message.

Thought I had posted this before but we do have another game this week...the Youth Cup quarter final away to Leeds on Thursday. Win that and it's a semi final v Millwall.

Now obviously the priority is the first team, goes without saying, but these kids have fought their way through to this stage of the Youth Cup and the club will want to be competitive.

So, juggling fixtures and with the need to have some of our senior players having some game time before the Forest match - maybe we will field a stronger side v Southampton than we think?

That’s strange, because there was so much demand for a ticket to Sunday’s game.

I wonder what could have changed in 3 days. How very strange.

Under 10s will be playing in that

I am sure you'll be comforted to know that one of the boys has managed to sort out a change of shift and is now going, so all sorted.

Why do you think Jurgen always wants his squad together early including transfers in pre season? For a nice fucking picture?

Some dumb people on here for sure.

Maybe to drum his ideas and tactics into newbies as early as possible, let them know how he wants them to play first and foremost, get them involved with the rest of the squad as early as possible, and get them as fit as possible too.

So a combination of numerous things?

Not sure i fancy that game in the mid week before the last game of the season. If they have nothing to play for it'll be 11 men behind the ball and hatchet job tackles all game.  If they need something it'll be 11 men behind the ball hatchet job with long balls and Calvert Lewin diving for set pieces

The fuck are you on about?

I think he wants to get them training together so they'll be in peak condition for the matches.  Are you suggesting that he wants them together so he can run them into the ground?

Well, maybe you're right; I'm too dumb, for sure, to argue with you.

Good point. It would be such a shame if the Youth Cup run came to an end because of a depleted team. I expect Danns , Koumas and Neyoni to all be involved tonight and therefore miss tomorrow’s match …. which will be a tough game as Leeds beat our kids 4-1 earlier in the season. Much of this is down to zero protection from referees, with three seniors injured in the last couple of weeks alone through clumsy or shithouse challenges by opponents.

You are fucking dumb outright.

What does he do in training to practice patterns of his presses? Put traffic cones down and tell players to remeber thats where they should stand?

They will practice those presses over and over so that muscle memory kicks in. Which means players have to sprint and execute them to learn them. These are elite athletes, its not the 80s with steak pies and muddy pitches.

Dumb as fuck on here some of you.
