Somebody was talking about how we are on top with 42 goals scored after 90+ mins and wondering how many of them were under Klopp.

From what I can gather, this is the list:

Alisson – WBA

Mane - Villa
Mane – Everton
Origi – Everton
Origi – Wolves
Lallana – Norwich
Carvalho – Newcastle
Nunez – Newcastle

Jota - Spurs
Firmino – Spurs
Klavan – Burnley

11 out of 42 under Klopp.

Cheers, that was me wondering. Out of rep at the moment.

Also, Milner penalty on 95 minutes against Leicester in 2019.

It's a phenomenal legacy under Klopp. There were a few in Europe too. Dortmund and PSG spring to mind.

Tell you the moment I knew we’d get back into it, when they showed Faustino Asprilla at the game, the fucking loser.

Haha when they subbed Tonali for Longstaff I knew we would get our chances.

Just watched the game again.

A few of my takes:

Trent started well until the yellow card incident so that affected him, as he was off for the remainder of the half.

Foul by Botman, who went through the back of Gakpo. There was no mention of a yellow.

We were well on top until Trent's yellow.

The challenge on Gordon by Trent was halfway inside their half and was gentle. No way would a yellow  have been mentioned if he had not already been booked.

Robertson gave the ball away consistently, even with 11 men.

Endo blocked passing lanes into Isak.

Neville blew smoke up Newcastle's hole all day. They finished 4th on 67 points last season and have 3 points from 3 games this season. They aren't City.

Drury is much better than Tyler, but he loves some players. Almiron got the ball at one stage, on the wing 45m from goal, Liverpool had 8 behind the ball, and he creamed himself.

Newcastle pressed well, but we were very dangerous on the break with 11. Their midfield tired in the game because they got too excited with the drama of the first 30 minutes. Tonali was like a madman but tired badly.

When a pundit, a so-called expert, is asked if a red card is warranted, he shouldn't reply that the player gave the ref a decision to make. We all know that, what is the correct decision in your opinion? That's what you are paid for.

Teams should just play the ball over the top v Newcastle. Pope just boots it out of play always.

Newcastle didn't offer much in the 1st half other than corners (including the Almiron save by Alisson) and long shots.

Joelinton's 4th foul, in the 46th minute (and 3rd in 8 minutes, resulted in no yellow), was for going through Mac Allister. This just 2 minutes after the ref warned him after the 3rd foul. He fouled Gakpo, who was breaking, from behind 2 minutes into the 2nd half and still no yellow.

From the 59th minute when Elliott and Jota came on, until Darwin's first, they had 3 shots on goal, Almiron hit the post, Gordon shot wide from outside the box and a speculative header by Wilson. We had 60% possession and a lot more chances. We seemed to push up when we had better footballers in midfield, while Jota was more aggressive and positive than Gakpo had been.

Isak did absolutely fuck all in the game.

We are better with the better footballers playing in midfield.

I still can’t quite believe yesterday.

If we’d still have Hendo, Milner, Fabinho, Firmino etc it would a superb result.

The fact we were without Konate & VVD,  Szoboszlai, Mac Allister & Endo making at best, their 3rd appearance and Quansah playing 10/15 mins in the most difficult of circumstances… this type of result (and to an extent Bournemouth) makes Mentality Monsters 2.
