Ole Gunnar Solskjaer: Man Utd boss says fans will 'see a reaction'

Manchester United manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer says fans will "see a reaction" when his side take on Watford on Saturday (15:00 GMT).

United are sixth in the table after a run of just four wins in 12 games.

Following the international break, the 48-year-old says that everyone at the club is working together to turn their form around.

"The players, staff, myself and club are working toward one goal; to improve and get better results," he said.

United have surprised many observers by sticking with Solskjaer after their poor run, with two of their four wins in 12 coming through late winners and another after an injury-time David de Gea penalty save.

The comprehensive nature of the 2-0 home defeat by Manchester City immediately before the international break made the result, in its own way, as demoralising as the record 5-0 home loss to Liverpool a fortnight before.

United's embarrassing 5-0 defeat was their heaviest ever at home to Liverpool, as well as being the first time they have lost to-nil by five or more goals at home since a 5-0 loss to Man City in February 1955.

However, Solskjaer is said to have been in a good mood in training this week and he painted a positive picture of life at Old Trafford as he spoke ahead of his side's trip to Watford.

"When you lose, you are always disappointed and under pressure," he added. "Sometimes the first thing you want to do is get back on the training ground.

"But this has been a good time to refresh our minds. We have prioritised a few things and I am sure you will see a reaction."

Great reaction you got out of your lads, there, Ole. You're not helping yourself.

Not sure if mentioned earlier but one of the reputable Barcelona journalists (Gérard Romero) is claiming that a press conference will be held next week to confirm that Aguero will be retiring from football due to cardiac issues.

His heart just isn't in it anymore, it happens to the best of them eventually.

It’s amazing just how bad the Manchester have managed the club since fergie retired.

the amount of money they’ve spent is off the charts - numerous managers each one funnier than the next. A couple of trophies nothing significant at all.

They had an opportunity to sack Ole get a winner in with Conte delayed decided to stick with home come back after the international break where the other clubs have made a transition of a new manager during that time.

now it looks like he’ll be sacked but they’ve literally no plan or identity anymore apart from having money to throw at players.

Long may it continue.

Didn't he have issues as a young lad or something?

Shame, great player, and in fairness to the guy he gave the Premiership one of its most iconic moments ever with that late goal against qpr.

Hopefully he can have a good normal life outside of football

The best bit was Neville saying Conte wasn't the right type of manager for Man U.

they missed a couple of absolute sitters.  Xavi has his work cut out.  IMO he needs to be brutal with the old guard of Busquets & Pique and make them bit part players.  They are such a slow, undynamic team

I read there's plans for Iniesta,Messi might rejoin, and they've already resigned Dani Alves. I'd piss myself if that happens and hope they do.

The problem is that the new guard bar a few teenagers aren't very good either.

Over the last six or seven years Barcelona and Manchester United have been miles ahead of the rest in terms of spending obscene money on fucking dreadful footballers.
