One of Jurgen’s many strong suits is that he doesn’t just pay lip service to giving young lads a chance in big games. Kelleher and Jones were great, and Neco Williams much improved too.

Delighted with that, have been very critical of Williams but he was really good tonight. Curtis Jones star is rising, great run and delicate touch for the goal and cracking shot off the upright and what feet he has bamboozled defenders all night. Kelleher was brilliant, 2 great saves and assured in everything he did. Felt very safe with him, something you could never say about Adrian. Fab and Matip very good too.

 

Mane and Salah uncharacteristically poor, so wasteful and decision making was all wrong. Bobby was brilliant when he came on like the player of old but should of buried that chance past Oanna which was a glorious piece of play.

Kelleher has really good characteristics. Good shot stopper and excellent distribution. 

 

You can't underestimate though the importance of the likes of Joel, Fab, Robbo, Hendo and Gini for Kelly, Rhys Williams and Neco. 

 

Great to see guys who you wouldn't have had near the first team making an impact especially when they're academy lads.

Supposed to be available for £27m. Definitely worth considering in January - strong, pacey and skillful. Managed Mane very well for most of the match.
