That's pretty odd isn't it.

We seem to have gone from a normal cycle of ordinary bouts of illness spreading through millions in the country, to suddenly every single fucking temperature is 'probably C19'.

Really Dr?  I mean, REALLY?  You're going with that?

Well seen as it's highly contagious and a doctor suggested that a temp and GI together is a common symptom I am willing to consider it possible.

And it's magically removed every other possible illness known to man, fantastic.

"I've got a lump on my bollocks"

"that's classic Covid 19"

"I've been hanging around a friend with a cold, and I've been sneezing, and have a runny nose, and a cough.  I'm thinking I have the common cold, again"

"Ha, you'd think that, but no, they're not making them anymore mate, it's all Covid now"

"I was going for a run the other day and felt something just ping in my knee"

"Were you feeling hot?"
"Yes, I was running"

"Running hot you mean, yeah, we're getting a lot of this with Covid mate"

Does anyone know more about the Pillar 2 in the UK testing strategy - "health and care staff and critical key workers in other sectors"?

Pillar 1 (people with medical need and the most critical workers and their families) shows that 1 in 3 tests are positive, which means they are still testing mostly people with symptoms.

However, Pillar 2 would by its description suggest this is a precautionary  testing, and yet, the result (tests to positive ratio) is not all that much different. Would this show how widespread the rate of infection actually is, even if you consider that key workers and their families are more exposed than the rest of the population?

Even if you divide it let say by 3, it would suggest 1 in 10 people in the UK is infected.

Or not?

What's with the PPE being stuck in Turkey then, Erdogan playing politics?

He said that while the 400,000 gowns from Turkey would be welcome, NHS staff were getting through approximately 150,000 gowns a day.

He gave the example of an expected consignment of 200,000 gowns from China, which turned out to be 20,000 gowns when it arrived last week.
