That was an abysmal half. It’s a bit of a concern and Klopp doesn’t look as though he necessarily has a solution at this point in time.

 

Having said that, it’s two games. I felt the Chelsea game was a pretty decent performance and a game that would have been won comfortably if we had a genuine finisher on the pitch.

We don't look like scoring, the front 3 have gone from World class to bang average this season.

Our best midfielder off, and Gomez at RB.  Not good.  I've given up on the front three doing anything, so it's up to a player who hasn't yet found his feet let alone his boots to come on and impose himself.

It's piss poor. 

 

It's either far too slow with the ball through midfield (usually Wijnaldum) or treating it like a hot potato and playing silly passes which risk giving away possession (Henderson).

I actually think on the evidence of the last couple of weeks that Chelsea might be a better team than City.

 

One shot, total, for City all half? We're flat up front, but so are they. They've created basically nothing aside from one Lovren Special that should have been a pen (but due to his own stupidity and not City's excellence).

Our pressing from the front is not at full intensity today either. And we’re not winning the second balls in midfield. City the better side so far. We’re looking a bit tired.

I think we’ve done alright. Main problem is the front three creating little in front of a workmanlike midfield. Nothing new this season in that. Shaqiri deserves a chance.

Yeah we’ve been saying only a matter of time for he front 3 to click but it’s just not happening, hopefully this half

Bar the Sturridge roll of the dice, Klopp seems allergic to timely substitutions at the moment. We’d be lucky to see a player designed to win the game come on before the 75th.
