He does like Lovren. I am not sure Gomez has gone past him yet though in Klopp's eyes. Gomez kept his place while Lovren was still recovering - but sometimes he only got his game as he could play RB .

I think more of that was issues with Trent. A fair few of them games where against really direct teams who would target him at the back post headers. Especially when he was off form pre Xmas months

Bournemouth fans seem to be very happy with Clyne on loan, but not so much Solanke on a permanent deal.

Pretty understandable that they're keen on signing a solid fullback, but not quite so keen on a forward that doesn't score any goals.

Clyne's played like 2 games in 2 years. Klopp doesn't rate him and he gets mysterious injuries. He needed to go for his sake. Not sure what people aren't getting here.

People aren't getting it because we have 6 defenders, and we're getting rid of one of them.

Maybe. But I think a little like when push comes to shove Klopp goes with Milnet, Gini and Henderson in midfield for the biggest of games, I think if everyone is 100% he would find a way to pick Lovren. Whatever way, I just don't see him as this 4th choice centre back. He is 2nd or 3rd and the manager is a big fan, so he is going nowhere any time soon.

We've got to have someone lined up, surely. Thinning the squad and making a profit this window would be madness, both from a footballing and PR perspective for the owners.

Thinning out the squad during a title run is such a Liverpool thing to do.

Hopefully we’re scrambling together the money for someone who can contribute.   We’ve quite a few we can shift and not miss in the slightest.   Clyde and Solanke being a good start.

it was pretty obvious we spunked our budget in the summer on Alison and couldn’t afford a Coutinho replacement then, seen Klopp day as much last week.   It’s worked out quite well too tbf.
