Loved it when he broke through, but never really thought he’d have a career at the highest level. Too limited a player for that to happen.

 

Of course injuries played a big part as well.

 

Totally unacceptable what he did to his girlfriend obviously. What kind of off field punishment he deserves’ I’ll not be the judge, but it sure won’t be of any help getting his footballing career back on the rails.

Imagine being a professional journalist and arguing that the club can't sack a player for a brutal attack on a woman because they didn't previously punish a minor drunk driving offence where no one was harmed and in his own words:
