Camera save. Klopp will know why we've gone from ripping City a new one to hopefully scraping past Bordeaux

Early Liverpool goal.

That's the difference, we're a completely different team when our pressing leads to a goal early and we can play on the break.  It was the same in the good Brendan season, we were brilliant most of the time but if we didn't score by 30 minutes in we gradually fell apart.

Certainly didn't look brilliant for any of that match.  Their was no early goal against Chelsea either when we ripped them apart, actually fell behind in that game.

Back from the match in no particular haste.

Satisfactory, pig. Satisfactory.

Thought we played quite well for 60 minutes without really finding a telling final ball, bar Mig trying to cradle the ball to sleep and sing it a lullaby,

After that we visibly tired, but did a lot of solid defensive work. I hope Moreno is ok as he seemed to pull the muscle at the top of his leg near his arse. Through to the next round - onwards and upwards!

Just back, in haste.

A win, ugly, but a win. Klopp is still undefeated in Europe with us, and has won more games in three , than Brendan did in nine. That’s progress.

This is starting to remind me of Euro campaigns of old, doing enough, is enough, and we will improve further under Klopp.

Big Ben showed once again that he knows where the goal is, being on the pitch helps. Milner executed his penalty well.

Job done, Swansea on Sunday, things are looking up.
