I still think Balotelli will come good. Looked a million times more dangerous than poor Lambert.

Stevie looked good up front and there's no doubt he can play people in and play nice passes around the edge of the box, but I'm not sure he has the legs to get back if we are defending. Be interesting to see if he gets more time there.

Johnson made me feel more confident, and looked solid and composed, but we've seen him play well before and then have a stinker the next game. Maybe having competition will spur him on.

Anyway, nice to have a win, to be able to look at other results, and watch MOTD for the first time in about 2 months.

At the risk of being controversial I think Lovren is a decent CB . He's not had a great start but he needs to take a leaf out of Moreno's book and not dwell on his mistakes .I'm not writing him off yet

Negatives:

Lovren and Mignolet are a pair of clowns - I feel sorry for Skrtel having to play with them

Lovren is very inconsistent and i don't mean from game to game, in the actual game. He goes from a brilliant clearance to loosing his man in the space of 5 mins.

Relived. Both of our goals were very impressive, Lallana's ingenuity and Sterling getting up and cracking on despite a clear foul. Gerrard being further forward is encouraging, too.
