Only 3 changes for them from weekend.

Surprised at that given their situation - but in some ways good to see as find how this conpetition is disrespected irritating.

That said if they were playing Abu Dhabi tonight you can bet it would be 10 changes....

Just been told Bournemouth are away to Abu Dhabi at weekend......so that exolains it then - ring the changes then instead....

Can we give Szoboszlai a rest at some point please?

He hasn't started any of the cup games, has he? He will probably play 45/60 tonight and I wouldn’t expect him to play v Toulouse next week. You'd imagine they are on top of it, if he was showing fatigue.

Under 11 games worth of footy in 11 weeks.

The modern game has twisted peoples minds when it comes to stuff like this....

You can't incessantly complain about players being injured and then also say the number and intensity of games players play is not influential.

Doesn't include internationals in which I think he's also played 90 minutes in each of the games (happy to be corrected).

It's not about now though is it, it's about the cumulative effect in 20/40/50 games time, unless we're planning on lowering his minutes at the business end of the season because why not!!

But you're right, it's modern football, bring back jumpers for goalposts and footballs that weighed 20 pounds in the rain, that's when men were men, none of this marginal gains nonsense.

Kluivert on the pitch reminds me of the 1996 Euros, and a big poster in town (possibly Nike) with Patrick looking sideways menacingly, and the caption “VENABLES, RESIGN NOW.”

England hammered them. Outdone by football’s used car salesman. I always had a soft spot for Venables.
