If we put two-thirds of our chances away we’d piss most games. This isn’t anything new. We’ve always been profligate, but now it’s reaching epic proportions. Fuck throw in coaches, can we get a striking coach please?

Dreading the late equalizer for Newcastle now. Really hope it's not one of those games.

Seems our forwards are in a competition to see who can fuck up a chance in the most spectacular way today.

If we get a penalty one of them will pass it back to our keeper.

Jesus, this is like leeds on Monday, cannot put the ballin the net apart from Mo's 2 minute opener. We could be 7-2 ahead and Newcastle could have no complaints.

We've been poor at both ends of the pitch and Newcastle have taken the game to us. That St Maximin has run the legs off the back 4 every time he gets the ball. He just runs at us every time he has the ball and creates panic. Kabak is going to be very careful not to get a 2nd yellow here.

Up front, Bobby is just passing to oppos or under weighting the ball. Sadio should give his head a shake the chances he's had but he's not alone as both Mo and Jota have wasted chances that should be in the net.

I'm sure all the LFC journos have really important questions about how our permacrock defenders are getting on with their rehabilitation which need to be answered, but perhaps they may find the time to ask Klopp if shooting practice forms any part of our training at all?

What the actual fuck an I watching here. I know confidence is one of those unquantifiable attributes but how do you fall off a cliff like this in terms of finishing. Surely there is someone in the reserves on a mad streak of scoring ?

That was meant to be Paul Glatzel, who was top scorer for the team that won the Youth Cup 2 years ago. Except he’s missed most of the last 2 seasons. Layton Stewart was the star of the u18s, stepped up and was scoring for the u23s.... and picked up a long term injury. In keeping with the whole season.

Firmino is the worst passer of the ball in the squad

Interesting take after he's created 3 clear cut chances with his, you know, passing.

What the actual fuck are the back 4 playing at, Newcastle cutting through us at ease.

It's almost like playing 4 attackers, a 2 man midfield and a midfielder at CB is costing us defensive solidity..

I think Firmino's been taking training.

Joke up front, dodgy at the back and we only have 2 in midfield.  What is going on ?

Jota and Sadio extremely wasteful, but some of our best attacking play this season. Unfortunately throwing as many people forward leaves us more vulnerable at the back.

Strange half.

We should be out of sight with the amount of chances we've missed, we also look wide open at times.

Yep, this is what you get for going ultra attacking and having no CBs with pace.

Also, people blaming Trent for not holding the line have not played football. There's no way Klopp has instructed the defensive line with their lack of pace to stand on the half way line with no-one pressuring the player with the ball. Throwback to the away game against Real this. Without VVD and Gomez at the back, Thiago really shouldn't be playing in a midfield two (and I love Thiago).

Yeah, glasses needed here as well.

Once you've got an agenda against a player it's hard to let go I suppose.
