In the end, I went with him at the back so I could squeeze in a striker more prolific at International level than the great Puskas. His Hungarian teammate, Sandor Kocsis.

A really good team, but has its flaws:

- Finnan isnt the right back you want when you're playing a diamond midfield

- Jari Litmanen was great for Ajax but failed everywhere else..

- The defence would struggle against alehouse teams as they're lacking height

The bottom one is probably fair enough but there aren't going to be any alehouse teams in this draft, if that matters. 

 

The other two points I disagree on.   I'm not sure why you wouldn't want Finnan in that formation. 

 

And, as for Litmanen, it seems that you're saying "Apart from the 7 years at Ajax, parts of which they were the best team in the world and when he finished 8th and 3rd in the Balon D'or in subsequent years, he was shit", which is a pretty strange point.  He was good at Liverpool too and he was 30 by that stage.

I wouldn't need width to score past your keeper - could probably score 7 from goal kicks alone.
