Funny listening to all the discussion about how he "just doesn't play Man United football". Like this has come as a shock to anybody? Had they not paid attention to his entire managerial career before he got there?

I think it actually has come as a shock to their fan base. The whole PR exercise when they hired him about how he’s changed and how he was a good enough manager to change his style to suit Man Utd was enough to fool them. They then spent the whole of the first season saying he needed to make it his own team and he needed to make them defensively solid first before the attacking football came.

 

Even now you’ve got journalists writing articles about he just needs to tweak this and that. There was one on sky sports about how he needs to improve his man management. The guy has been managing for nearly 20 years. This is him. He’s a gobshite. He’s not been overly critical of his players as some sort of tactic. He can’t help himself. It’s the same with all this “he’s deflecting attention” nonsense. People gave him too much credit. He’s just a complete dickhead.

I honestly can’t believe there are still top players who want to sign for teams he’s managing. What did Pogba think was going to happen? The same with Sanchez. I think it goes to show how little some of the pros actually watch football. He hasn’t changed his style in the whole time he’s been a manager.
