Skrtel had a good game, but I'm surprised people are picking him in the top 3. The goal we conceded at half time was down to him and Mignolet, and it could've been costly.

I haven't look at the stats, but every time a ball into the box was cleared or intercepted it seemed like to was Skrtel. Also I don't think he was completely to blame for the goal.

He was fantastic defending in the box yesterday.

I haven't look at the stats, but every time a ball into the box was cleared or intercepted it seemed like to was Skrtel. Also I don't think he was completely to blame for the goal.

 

It was a fairly poor clearance that landed about 50 yards away from the goal. Lucas got caught wrong side of Aguero, was on a yellow so couldn't bring him down, then Aguero bent it into the bottom corner from about 20 yards. I think it's a little harsh for Skrtel to take responsibility for the goal.

 

He had a great game.
