Scottish Independence, yay or nay?

I'm not sure what you - or Media Lens - really expected from those papers though RP?

They've never been impartial, nor do they really seek to hide their bias. They cater to those whose views they already mirror. Their readership may occassionally assert that their version is the truth, but you can't expect the Telegraph to be pro breaking up the union any more than you'd expect to see the Socialist Worker espousing the benefits of privatisation.

They're specialist publications, and in this instance they all see the greatest loss in Scottish independence. For the right it's the break up of the union, and for the left it's the looming spectre of an eternal tory government. The papers are designed to take a viewpoint and sell to an already established audience, not be politically agnostic and informative in an even handed manner. It's shitty, but there's no real money in floating voters, the unsure and the apathetic who occassionally go looking for unbiased coverage, it's why sure sounding headlines and columns full of splenetic rage sell so well.

They are designed to appeal to a certain viewpoint so that they can maximise readers and then sell those readers eyes to advertisers.

That's the business model: selling eyes.

Shirley there's no way it will be "Yes"?  The mainstream media has been all Nazi scaremongering propaganda.  Wanted to see Cameron get a good kicking and have to explain himself in front of Her Ma'amness but it's not looking good.  I can't understand why anyone would want to bind themselves to Westminster rule given the chance to break free.

Oh aye and ours are stunners, can't wait to see the snaps of Anne widdicombe on her latest beach holiday.

Is there a single fit uk politician?

We have a few nice ones, but fair point being as we have more MP's. Must be a UK thing, employ pig ugly female MP's and it will drag the fatties out to vote.

One thing this whole debate has done is get me interested in finding a little more detail on federalism and the pros and cons of it.

Come for a visit, I'll throw a moose steak on the BBQ, buy you a lumberjack coat, a real nice toque and some cold Labatt 50 that will cure Ebola and we'll weigh the pros and cons.

Monty Bonus---- the fucking CN train line is 30m from my back deck. You'll be right at home.

Monty Bonus 2-- we just opened a Human Rights Museum and everybody but the Jews are pissed! You'll be right at home.

Monty Bonus 3-- I'm not immune to a good cuddle by the fire when the sun goes down.

Stella Creasy, Luciana Berger, Rushanara Ali, Nicola Blackwood, Caroline Flint, Liz Kendall, Esther Mcvey, Pamela Nash, Priti Patel.

Given the right circumstances, which for some of these may include the use of a time machine, I would, they'll all be pleased to know, consent to having sexual intercourse with these MPs.

In Esther's case, it would be the sort of sex that if you were witnessing it as a next door neighbour you would be deliberating about whether or not to phone the police.

Should be no shortage of literature, liberals have been pushing for it for a century now. I think we're on the verge of getting it too now.

The very second the first result was announced was met here by a huge lightning flas and thunderbolt here. Uncanny, and somewhat sppoky.

Scotch has been supplemented by rum and arrack. My kilt has fallen off twice. Im thinking of wearing it at half mast.

they have pissed off Connor Macleod.

And Freddie Mercury. What a sound track that was!
